Favorite Lipstick Combos with Burt’s Bees

I was browsing through CVS one day, and I stumbled upon the Burt’s Bees Lipsticks. I was just a little obsessed with the chapsticks when I was in high school (Pomegranate being my favorite!) I was really debating on whether or not to purchase one and try it, because, I just didn’t think they would have a good, long-lasting and pigmented formula. BOY, WAS I WRONG. It is such an awesome, moisturizing and pigmented formula.

The first color I picked up was Blush Basin. Since I loved it SO MUCH and it was so affordable at under $9, I ended up going back later that week and got two more; Iced Iris and Ruby Ripple. I also picked up a few drugstore lipliners to go with them. I really love to not only line my lips with the liner but also lightly fill in my lips to prime them for the lipstick.

Blush Basin: This is such a pretty “my lips but better” nude-y pink. I wore it a few weeks ago to my brother’s wedding and paired it with this lip liner. I would say it is the PERFECT neutral lip. I think i wear it almost daily now!

Ruby Ripple: The perfect ruby red for fair skin! I actually love the way this wears off, more like a stain than a lipstick so it doesn’t really get patchy, it just fades in pigmentation. I like to pair it with this lip liner for a bold red lip. (p.s. the photo in the link is much more purple-y/plum-y than it really is, as you can see in the photos below.

Iced Iris: This is such a cute, bubblegum pink and definitely the most sheer of the bunch. It is incredibly natural looking alone, but putting a bit of this lip liner underneath give it a bit of a POP!

All three combos have been on major rotation lately. I am seriously thinking about picking up the Sunset Cruise color before my Vacation to Cancun next month. I also am thinking about checking out the Burt’s Bees Lip Crayons, as well!

Don’t you love it when you find a hidden jem?! What is yours? Tell me about it in the comments below.

I hope everyone has a fabulous week!
